Kuyro Terms of Use

Welcome to Kuyro. These Terms of Use explain the rules, responsibilities, and limitations that apply when you use the Kuyro mobile app, website, and related services.
Kuyro is a game-like activity app for recording movement, discovering areas, earning achievements, and competing for virtual territories. By using Kuyro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
This document is intended to be a practical, plain-language service policy and is not a substitute for formal legal advice.
1. What Kuyro is
Kuyro lets users record activities such as walking, running, or cycling, view progress, earn achievements, and acquire or lose virtual territory according to in-app rules.
Territories, cells, achievements, points, rankings, and records are virtual in-app elements only. Kuyro does not grant ownership, possession, access rights, usage rights, permits, or any legal interest in real-world land, streets, parks, buildings, or physical spaces.
2. Accounts and sign-in
Some features may require an account or sign-in with a mobile number and password. You are responsible for keeping your password and device secure.
The current release primarily supports mobile-number and password sign-in. Options such as Google sign-in may appear in older materials or earlier versions, but may be unavailable or unreliable because of technical or access limitations.
If you use Kuyro without signing in, some data may be stored locally on the same device. If you later sign in, guest progress may be linked to that account. Data that belongs to one account should not be silently transferred into another account.
3. Activities, location, and territories
To record activities and calculate territory, Kuyro may use your device location while an activity recording feature is active. The service relies on movement summaries, calculated cells, and territory-related data.
To reduce privacy risk, Kuyro should not rely on raw GPS traces, full route histories, raw polygons, or precise point-by-point paths as the primary source for account restoration. Some route-level data may remain only on your device and may not be recoverable after deleting the app, clearing device data, or changing devices.
Location accuracy depends on GPS, device sensors, environmental conditions, the operating system, and permissions. GPS jumps, delays, signal loss, or device errors may affect activity and territory calculations.
4. Safety
Kuyro does not replace your attention, judgment, or obligation to follow laws and safety rules. You are responsible for staying safe while walking, running, cycling, crossing streets, driving, or entering public or private spaces.
You must not enter private property, restricted areas, unsafe routes, or dangerous environments to gain territory or points.
5. Fair use and anti-cheating
You must not use GPS spoofing, location simulators, device tampering, fake data, API abuse, malicious reverse engineering, bug exploitation, mass account creation, or any unfair method to gain points, territory, achievements, or ranking.
Kuyro may limit, correct, suspend, or remove access, activity, points, territories, or achievements if cheating, abuse, suspicious activity, or a violation of these Terms is detected.
6. User content and profile information
You may be able to set a display name, avatar, profile image, or public profile information. You are responsible for the content you provide. Offensive, misleading, illegal, harmful, or rights-infringing content is not allowed.
7. Service changes
Kuyro is under active development. Game rules, territory calculations, achievements, rankings, interface, features, and limits may change. These changes may affect points, territories, records, or your user experience.
We try to communicate important changes clearly, but we do not guarantee that every feature will always remain available, uninterrupted, or unchanged.
8. Availability and errors
Kuyro may depend on internet connectivity, map services, API servers, operating systems, device permissions, and other infrastructure. Outages, sanctions, network restrictions, software bugs, or infrastructure issues may reduce quality or temporarily interrupt the service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Kuyro is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages; loss of data; loss of points or territories; service interruptions; GPS errors; user decisions while moving; or misuse of the app.
Nothing in Kuyro should be treated as safety, medical, fitness, legal, or navigation advice.
10. Account removal and data requests
Account deletion and data-request features may be added or improved over time. Until such features are fully available in the app, you can contact support for account or data-related requests.
11. Applicable rules
Kuyro is provided for general users and aims to comply with applicable requirements. If any part of these Terms is not enforceable in a particular jurisdiction, the remaining sections remain in effect.
